QuestionHi Will,
I'd like to try using diluted mineral oil to clean/shine my houseplants, as you suggested. Can you give me some idea of the proportion of mineral oil to water that you use? Thanks
AnswerHi Mary,
The concentration of the mineral oil depends on just how shiny you want your plants to look. You could start with 5 or 6 parts water and 1 part mineral oil and go from there to make it more or less shiny to suit your taste.
The concentration will have no ill effects on the plant as long as it is applied only to the top surface of the leaves.
Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
