The plant is in side for the winter so no sun is on it for the leaves to get burnt like they are. What can I do to save my plant?? Please help I have had this plant for 6 years and it was so heatlthy and beautiful. PLEASE HELP

Answer
Bonnie,

Take the plant to the kitchen sink or the bathtub and use a sprayer to water it until a lot of water has washed through the soil washing the cat urine out of the soil. Then let the water drain until it stops draining. Then put the plant back in it's drain tray in it's normal location. It should be where it will get the most sun possible, such as in front of a south facing window. Then keep the cat away from the plant. If that isn't possible then empty a bottle of cayenne pepper on top of the soil. The cat will stay away.
Do not water the plant again until it is very dry, at least a week to 2 weeks.  This should have been done immediately after the cat peed on it but hopefully it will recover. It may loose all it's leaves and look dead for awhile but give it time and it will probably send out new growth and be better than ever. Good luck.
