Question
need to ID   Slender stems 8 to 10 inches high with three butterfly  shaped leaves at the top.  burgundy in color.  leaves open in the morning and close at night.

Your description does not ring any bells. The only plants I am aware of whose leaves close at night are prayer plants and the rest of your description does not fit them. If you can send me a digital picture I'm prtty sure I can identify it. Send it to [email protected]
