Question
What would you suggest as an indoor tropical plant to get that would flower somewhat often, and require moderate care?

Hi Andrew,

The best low light plants that will flower are African violets and peace lilies. Both will do fine on a north windowsill in indirect light.

If you have a sunny spot, then I suggest a Geranium.

None of these plants require repotting and need fertilizer only occasionally. The peace lily needs soil that stays moist. The African violet needs the soil to dry out between waterings. The Geranium needs moist soil in spring through fall and dry soil in winter.
