QuestionWill,
I am rescuing a pine tree from my sister. It is a domestic (indoor) pine, about 6ft tall. It was one time lush and beautiful. Now, all the branches have dried up and wilted. The trunk still appears healthy, it's interior is green and it does not appear to have any parrasites, nor is it molding or weak. It is potted in a 24" diameter plastic pot and has not been transplanted in the last two years. Can you give me advice on how to save this tree?
Thank you, Jodi
AnswerHi Jodi,
There is only one evergreen that will survive indoors and that is the Norfolk Island pine.
I need to be sure that is what you have. I also need a photo to better understand the symptoms you are describing.
Please e-mail a photo to me at

If you cannot e-mail the photo, then the best I can do is provide you with care instructions for the Norfolk Island pine.

Will Creed
