QuestionI have a Ficus Benj Braid 10 in plant. How do I keep the braid?? There are leaves growing at the base (bottom) of plant. Do I cut these??
I also have a Kentia Palm and the leaves (not all of them) are a little brown, burnt looking at the end. Why?? It is in front of a window and gets a little sun, but not alot. Thanks for your help.
AnswerBecky,
If you want to continue braiding it you will need to prune side branches off and the little sprouts at the base of the plant. You will need to do the braiding as the tree grows before the newer growth hardens off too much.
Kentia palms do not like much sun at all, just bright light but no actual sun shining on it. Also, it could be having a problem because of flouride in the water. Either can cause brown leaf tips and brown spots on the leaves. If you have flouride in your water you need to let it sit in an open bucket for 48 hours before watering the palm with it.

Good luck.
