QuestionDo you think that if I water my spider plants with cola, orange juice and apple juice- would they die. I can't find out why on the internet and I am doing a school project to see how the plants will grow . i am also watering the plants with tapwater. the plants are spider plants
thanks
AnswerJohnny,
I think the sugar in the beverages will cause the soil to be more acidic and it will draw gnats and it will eventually kill the plants. Be careful not to overwater them. Plants need to dry out well between waterings so the roots can brathe carbon dioxide through the soil. If you overwater them you won't know if it was what you watered them with that killed them or the fact that you gave them too much of it. Good luck with your experiment.
