QuestionHi Darlene,
I have a Plectranthus Australis (P. Marginatus) plant. I think it is also called Swedish ivy. It is the one with thick and glossy leaves and its leaves are all green. However I have a problem. Its leaves turn yellow and some of the leaf tips turn brown. There are also some brown spots on a few of the leaves. I think I water it properly (at least once in a week - the room is warm-around 80F). It is also in a bright room, so it gets enough light- not direct sun.) What do you think the problem might be? Thanks a lot.

AnswerDerya,
I have a Sweedish ivy with almost the same problem. I'm pretty sure that mine got too much water over the summer and not enough fertilizer. I suspect you have the same problem. Some plants don't need to be watered once a week. Do not water it if it still feels heavy. The roots may be rotting somewhat. If you keep it on the dry side for awhile they will recuperate. Also give it a dose of fertilizer the next couple of times that you water it. Good luck.
