QuestionHi, I have a five foot corn plant. The new leaves are green but, the older leaves at the tips are brown. Can you help me or guide me in the right direction, Steve
Thanks in advance
AnswerHi Steven
i am sorry it took so long to answer your question; I have had a ear and sinus infection and have not been on the computer.
There are so many reasons why a corn plants tips turn brown. As long as the new growth is fine, it may just be an age problem, which is normal. It could also be lack of humidity, too little water, too much water, too much salt in the water, too much fertilizer, too close to a window with hot, direct sun. I would just trim the tips off in the normal shape of the leaf. Maybe try filling a container with water and allowing it to sit for 24 hours before watering. That will remove all the chemicals in the water.
Good Luck Steven
