My job has me living in the cubicle office world and an interior one at that. I was looking for a plant which could survive on flourescent light.

African violets, Chinese evergreen, Peace lily, Pothos vine, Philodendron vine, Aspidistra aka: Cast Iron Plant, and Sansevieria aka: Snake Plant will all do fine under flourescent light.  Be careful not to overwater them. Allow them to dry out well before watering again.

The only problem is leaving the plant in total darkness every weekend and Holiday and when you are on vacation.  If you can move the plant to a window for weekends, Holidays and vacations there will be no problem. Since plants convert carbon dioxide into pure oxygen I applaud you for improving your work environment. Good luck.
