QuestionHello,
Thank you very much for your fast reply, it is very helpful. Can you tell me how fast Ficus Pumila grows indoors and how can it be kept to a managable size and structure as it grows?
Thank you,
Leila

Question -
Hi
I would like to know if it is possible to find an indoor climber plant that will climb a mesh/network of tiny white lights (similar to small fairy lights). Are there any plants that would benefit from this kind of close light intertwinded with them?
I look forwards to your comments,
Many thanks

Hi Leila,
The problem may the heat generated by the bulbs. If the bulbs are anything more than warm to the touch, then they will probably burn tender leaves and stems.
If this is not a problem, then Ficus pumila may be a good choice.
Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.

AnswerHi Leila,
It is hard to answer your questions because they are unique to the specific situation you are creating. Lots of very bright indirect light for 16 hours per day, warm temps near 80 degrees, and humid air will all promote faster growth. The quality of the plant and the soil it is potted in will also affect plant growth rate. With all of those variables there is no way anyone can predict how fast yours will grow.
The key to keeping any plant manageable is pruning. Vines that grow too long or fast in a particular direction should be pruned back. The stems or vines will also grow toward the light, so changing the plants orientation to the light source is another way to control growth.
Let me know if you have any questions.
