QuestionI have a plant with lanceolate leaves, the central spine of the leaf continues beyond the end of the leaf for several inches, and then forms a pipe-like structure. The plant has a roseate form, and the leaves droop, the "pipes" are held vertically. Currently it is about 20cm tall, and similar in width. I'm guessing some form of pitcher plant. Can you ID?
Thx!
AnswerHi Paul,
You have provided an excellent description of the Nepenthes or pitcher plant genus. There are over 70 species of Nepenthes and it is difficult to tell the differences except through the flower structure.
Here is a site that has lots of photos of different Nepenthes. Perhaps you can find yours among them.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
