QuestionI have 2 Peace Lily Plants, one in a 6 inch pot and one that is in a 12 inch pot, both plants when given to me had white flower blooms on them.
I have had the one in the 12 inch pot for about a year now and the other for about 3 months. They are both still blooming but have green flowers instead of the white. What am I doing wrong with these plants.
AnswerHi Joan
The Peace Lily, aka "Spathiphyllum" produce beautiful white flowers. When the flowers first start blooming, they are a light color green and will turn white. Give it a bit more time. You are not doing anything wrong-especially since you have been able to get them to bloom again!
Peace Lily's can tolerate lower light area but does better in a good, indirect light. Allow your plants to dry out a bit before watering. They usually tell you when they need watering by drooping a bit. They will spring back to life after getting a good drink. Don't allow it to get too droopy too many times though- It takes a lot of energy for it to come back from a heavy droop and you will notice some leaf loss because of this.
Good Luck Joan,
