QuestionMy peace lilly has browned at the points. A flower has finally come out of it. The plant looks pretty purkey except for the fact that the new leaves look week and yellowish. Should I be misting this plant.
Thanks for your help
AnswerHi Mary,
Misting won't do any harm, but it will not solve the new leaf yellowing and brown tip problems.
First, check your water supply. If it is on the hard side, then switch to filtered, distilled or rainwater. It may take a month or more to flush the excess minerals out of the soil so be patient.
Next, make sure that your peace lily is getting lots of bright, but indirect light. Right in front of a north window or about 3- 5 feet away from an east window.
Finally, always water thoroughly just before the leaves start to wilt or when the top of the soil feels dry, whichever comes first.
Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
