QuestionHi ... i have had this aloe for about three years now... it is in a rather large pot and has been repoted several times...
Recently some of the stems have been turning a very light green and feeling mushy... along with very flimsyish.. I dont know if maybe i have the plant in a pot that is too big or not ..? I have read alot bout these plants and thought that i was doing things right ... maybe not... could you help ?

If the stems are mushy it is getting too much water. It is most likely in too large a pot. When it is in such a large pot you water it enough to moisten all the soil in the pot and the plant cannot use it up in time for the roots to have a breathing period for several days before you water it again. Without that breathing period for the roots the roots start to rot and the stem turns mushy. These plants and most other houseplants do not mind being a little rootbound and usually grow better that way. You should not repot most plants more often than once every 2 years in the spring. Get the aloe in a smaller pot and keep it on the dry side. Do not water it until it has been very dry for several days to a week. Mine gets watered well every 2 weeks. Keep it in the sunniest location possible. Good luck.
