QuestionHi, I'm looking for any kind of information on the house plant call the ZZ Plant. I bought the plant at Wal-Mart. Thank you, Mary
AnswerMary,
Zamioculcas zamiifolia is the latin name for your ZZ plant. It will survive in just about any light except total darkness. If you're the type of person that enjoys houseplants but doesn't have a lot of luck growing them get a ZZ plant. It's as close to foolproof as a plant can be.
It is native to Zanzibar in East Africa. The foliage grows from a bulb or tuber that stores water. Let the soil dry down completely between watering. ZZ's are a not a tall plant... but they come in several container sizes. Feed bi-monthly. Propagate by dividing the tubers.

Good luck with yours.
