QuestionI am not sure if that is the correct spelling. It is a tropical flowering cacti with large redish orange blossoms. I want to find out how to root a clipping. Will appreciate any info. Thank you!
AnswerElizabeth,
Take a clipping and lay it on an airy table for 3-4 days so the cut can dry and heal over. Then insert it into a pot of sand , perlite or vermiculite and water it. Keep it on the dry side by watering only when it is dry. It should root in about 2-3 weeks or less. Only take cuttings to root any plants between April 15th and July 15th. After that there is a lot less chance of success. Below is a website you can check out on this beautiful plant.

Good luck.
