QuestionHey, I'm doing a science experiment. I'm going to have some impatients and then administer varying amounts of salt and water to them to see if the water dilutes the salt so the plants are unharmed. I'm growing three plants per pot (I have a goodly deal of pots), so I would be interested in knowing about how much salt I would need to administer for the plants to show some symptoms, and how much to make them die. I'm planning on mixing the salt with their water ration, if that matters. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

AnswerHi Dan,
I suggest the following dilution rates for your experiment:
For the highest concentration, mix a TBSP of salt per cup of water. At the lowest concentration, mix 1/2 tsp per quart of water. Depending on how many pots you have, you can then mix at equally spaced intervals between these two extremes.
Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
