Croton House Plant

Question
I have a plant - Codiaem (Croton) that I've had for about 5-6 years.  I had it at work under artificial light all this time but I changed jobs.  It did fine at my new job the first year and then now it's leaves are curling up and drying out.  I tried a bug spray on all my plants in my office but this one just keeps drying up.  Over the weekend when the door is closed and it get a little warm, they really dry up.  I've always been on the same schedule, turn them every Friday and water them good on Friday.  It used to be a full hearty plant and now 1/2 the leaves have dried up and fallen off.  Do you have any ideas?  I've checked several web sites and books and can't find a certain thing that can pin point the problem.  I would appreciate any help and advice before my beautiful (used to be) plant dies.
Thank you!

Answer
Donna,

Is it in a pot with a drainage hole in the bottom?  First I reccommend that you carefully remove it from the pot and let me know what the roots look like. Are there a lot of roots? Are they wiry looking or are they black and mushy?  Let me know what size pot it is in? After inspecting the roots put it back in the pot and let me know what your found and I will try to help you. Also let me know if there is a window in your office and how close to that window it sits and what direcion that window faces.  I'll be watching for your answer.
