QuestionGood afternoon! I have just recently purchased a ficus tree and a VERY small bonsai tree from Home Depot and Lowe's. I do not have a green thumb in the slightest, and need as much information about the care of these trees as you are willing to give. Water, light, trimming, repotting, pests, feeding, etc...
Thank you so much for your help!
Christina
AnswerHi Christina,
You are asking for a tremendous amount of information; more than space permits on this site.
I have written an article on the complete care of Ficus trees. If you provide me with an e-mail address, I can e-mail the article to you.
Bonsai does not refer to a specific type of plant, but to a particular method of growing a plant. There are hundreds of different kinds of bonsai. To be able to give you care instructions, I have to know what kind (species) of plant your bonsai is. If you do not know, you can e-mail a photo of it to me at the address listed below my name.
Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
