QuestionMy mother-in-law has had one of those lucky money trees, and it seems to be dying. She's had it in a not too well lit space in the house, and she told me she waters it about once every two weeks. I've had plants myself, but I do not know how to care for these. I was wondering if you would be able to give me some of this information, or where I may find it. Thanks so much!
AnswerJenny,
Your mother in laws MONEY TREE - PACHIRA needs light. It needs to sit in an un shaded window facing south, east or west where it will get sun part of the day and be bright the rest of the day. No plant will live in a location where your hand will not cast a good shadow without a light being on. Move it where it gets more light and it will perk up. It is a tropical plant and should only be outdoors when the temperature is above 60 degrees. Where do you live? Good luck.
