QuestionI think I have a banana tree. Tall tree like stem, several shoots around top with green and yellow variegated long leaves. Here is the problem the shoots are rottening and falling off. the shorter of the 2 stalks feels like it is rottening all the way through. Can you help?
AnswerHi Amanda,
This doesn't sound a banana tree to me but whatever it is if it's rotting it means you are overwatering. If the stems are soft and mushy the plant is beyond hope and will not recover. If there are any firm stalks left you can cut back on the watering and hope for the best.
