Is keiki paste the only way to induce keiki?  Is there something else that would be easier to obtain other than keiki paste?  Thanks!

You could try putting the plant in the dark for 7-10 days to try to override the plant's hormonal response to light.  Many orchid suppliers sell keiki paste. One such grower is Carter and Holmes (www.carterandholmes.com). In checking their most recent catalogue I note that they have a product called Keiki Gro Plus (15ml cost $27.95). I'm not sure if their kit includes instructions for use but be sure to remove the node covering so you can apply the paste directly to the meristemmatic tissue beneath.
