QuestionMy moth orchid has two flowering spikes at the same time. This has never happened before. Do I need to fertilise more or just let it be? Thanks Carolyn
AnswerLucky you Carolyn. It is not unusual for a phalaenopsis to send up two spikes-- especially on a large, healthy plant. Just let it be but don't forget to repot it in fresh orchid potting mix after flowering to ensure the continuing health and vigor of your plant.
