QuestionMy phal has thin leaves and they are not erected. I think I overwatered it. Should I repot it immediately after cutting the rot roots? Thanks!
AnswerGuillermo, the answer is yes. Be sure to use a commercially prepared orchid potting mix consisting largely of fir bark. This potting mix should be soaked to reduce the water repellency of fir bark before use. If you have a lot of root rot you may lose some of the leaves. Hopefully, you have caught it in time so that you still have several firm, healthy roots that can grow strong new leaves.
