Question
Mini Phal
While two of my mini phal's flowers have shrivelled/wilted and died, there is still one unopened bud that is taking forever to bloom. Do you still believe it is time for repotting? If so, can you please recommend a type or even a brand of potting medium for this mini phal?
Last time I asked about the tiny insects found on the orchid support stick as I pulled it out of the potting medium before watering... I just watered this mini phal yesterday and did not see any bugs at all. I'm not sure if this is a good sign since I don't know what is going on with this plant right now. It was thriving and blooming really fast the first few weeks I brought it home.
Thank you for ALL your help!
AnswerSanny, repot this plant in orchid potting mix when it has lost all of its flowers. You can find orchid potting mix at most local garden centers. Some nationally francised companies such as Lowes and Home Depot have garden centers that carry packaged orchid potting mix.
