QuestionCan our orchid be repotted into a glass container that does not have a drainage hole?
AnswerJulian, I would not advise repotting your orchid into a glass container. Orchids differ from most other plants in that they require air movement through the potting mix. Without the sir movement permitted from drainage holes in the pot and the excess moisture which can be removed from the potting mix through these drain holes, the plant will develop root rot and perish. Be sure that any pot you repot to has plenty drainage holes in the bottom and try to use a potting mix that permits rapid drainage and air movement.
