QUESTION: what about lighting? I have it in a western window, should i worry about it not getting enough light. I know some things to watch out for if its not getting or is getting to much sun, but was wondering if you had any advice on it.
AnswerA west facing window is fine. You can adjust the light level by moving the plant clopser or further from the window. It should get enough light so you can ascertain a shadow on the leaf when you place your finger or other object between a leaf and the window. Since there are many cloudy days in the winter, especially in the northern latitudes, it doesn't hurt to use a clip-on fixture with a plant light placed on a timer to produce 12 hours of suppleemental lighting each day.
