Question
Hi Jim:
Having dabbled in orchids for a few years I appear to have come across a real super specimen with a four year plant, blooming every year, this year on a 5'plus stem to date 24 large blooms with 4 to 6 more to come. Am I looking at a record here.

That's great!!!  It must be quite a sight to behold!  You're doing a tremendous job in growing it.  

I'm not sure it is a record though, as I've seen some in orchid shows with stems over 6 feet tall with over 40 blooms.  But keep up the great job in growing it and it may one day surpass those and you might have a record.  By the way, all of the really tall ones I've seen have been with white flowers, have not seen any over 5 feet with other colors.
