Question
Hello! I've recently recieved a Doritaenopsis I-Hsin Sun Beauty Orchid. How much sun does it need. I live in an apartement that doesnt have alot of windows. The only window i have is in my room and a bid sliding door patio. Can I leave the orchid outside. We dont get alot of sunlight on our patio, its all shaded. WOuld it be safe to just leave it ouside. Right now it on top of a bookshelf in the corner of my slidind door. thank you!

Lynne, I think it would be fine to leave it on a shaded patio while the temp remains 65-85 degrees.  Be careful of any sunlight as a plant unaccustomed to sunlight could easily get leaf burn.  An east facing window that gets some morning sun is also fine.
