QuestionHi,
I need help. My mother-in-law cut off the stem on my phalaenopsis after the blooms died out! There is no stub anymore. The leaves are still healthy and new leaves are growing in. What can I do to grow back the stem? Is that even possible?
AnswerDebbie, I assume that by the stem you mean the flower spike. It is OK if the flower spike was cut off. As long as the plant is healthy, it will send up another flower spike next year. It is not posible to grow back a flower spike that has been cut all the way back.
