I have placed In different locations for more light/ less light and It doesnt seem to matter.I have a green shoot which I think Is new leaves, but It haent grown at all. Is this orchid dying? or can It be saved? please help. Thank you.

Answer
You need to repot this plant to fresh orchid potting mix. It should start its new growth in a couple of months and should have fresh material in which to grow.  If you have been feeding the plant with a high nitrogen fertilizer, this can be discontinued until you have vigorous new growth.  During repotting, check the roots system and remove all mushy roots as these are dead.  During new growth, the plant will generate new roots.  Don't worry about the leaves.  The pseudobulbs should be firm and not mushy.  Also remove any mushy pseudobulbs if you have any. As soon as the weather is warm enough the plant would appreciate being placed outside in fresh air.  Initially, keep it in a semishaded place and gradually move it into increased sunshine.  By fall, it can be in full sunshine.
