QuestionDO U KNOW THE NAME OF A CROSS BETWEEN LAND OF ENCHANTMENT AND TAYLOR MOORE.THIS IS AN OLD AWARDED CROSS/ ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED
AnswerI have checked both the Wildcatt Data base amd the Sanders List of Orchid hybrids. Apparently you have a cattleya hybrid. Land of Enchantment is a Laeliocattleya, however there is no registered hybrid by the name of Taylor Moore. The closest registered hybrid with a similar name is Blc Taylor Made. However, that hybrid cross was made in 1998 and the cross using that hybrid would be contemporary.
It is possible that, if you're sure of the name Taylor Moore, it is an unregistered hybrid and therefore there is no way I know of to track the name of the hybrid. If the tag contains the name of the orchid nursery, you could contact them and see if they can offer more information. Some hybridizers do not have their cross registered to save the expense. When that occurs, only the hybridizer knows anything about the cross.
Sometimes, the names on older tags are difficult to read. I also tried Tyler Moore but there is no regisitered hybid by that name either.
