blue green spots on phalaenopsis lower leaves

Question
I got the orchid when I had quad bypass surgery in May and have carefully cared for it as the instructions that came with it instructed.  It is putting two new leaves out now but when I looked at the leaf under one of the older leaves today I saw some blue green spots on the top of  one leaf and on the other gray spots and blue green spots.  What is this?

Answer
See if you can rub off the spots with a mild soap and cloth.  If you can't remove them this way, then these may be older leaves that are just naturally aging.  If the latter, they will eventually yellow and detach from the plant.  I would not be concerned about it, especially since you have new leaves emerging.  You may want to consider repotting it in fresh orchid potting mix as old potting mixes tend to decay and restirct the flow of air to the roots.  If you repot, that is a good time to check the root system.  Remove any roots that are "Mushy" or in bad condition before repotting.
