Question/Users/fredmoor/Desktop/IMG_1210.JPG
I do not know if the picture got through, but we have an orchid plant that has
sent out a new shoot fromm the main trunk. At the bottom of that new shoot are
several new fingers growing in several directions. Are these new roots, or what?
Thanks for your time.
AnswerHi Fred,
Sorry, but the photo did not make it. Unfortunately, this web site does not have the capability to transmit photos.
Without the photo, I can only guess what is happening with your orchid. Also, you didn't mention what type of orchid it is, so I'm just guessing in the dark.
It may be a new shoot or growth, time will tell which it is, hopefully within a few months as it continues to grow bigger. The other growths may be roots, especially if they are grey, white or brownish.
If you find the name of your orchid, write back with it along with more information about your orchid and I'll try to help with more info.
