White bugs in pot of orchid

Question
I have noticed that there are tiny white bugs in amongst the soil etc of my orchid.  Is this OK or does it mean the roots are rotting.  I have had this orchid for 3 years and not once has it stopped flowering.  It's even grown another shoot.  I'm not sure what type it is, but I assume it's not special as it was a present from MArks and Spencer.

Answer
Your orchid plant needs repotting.  Find a garden center that carries orchid potting mix.  Soak the new mix for a couple of hours before using it.  When you are ready to use it, unpot your plant and discard the old potting mix.  Remove any "mushy" roots which are rotted and clean the remaining roots in room temperature water. If you choose to repot the plant in its original container, be sure to clean it thoroughly.
