QuestionHello Jim,
I have recently repotted my Phal to a bigger pot as it had too many roots growing out it. My plant is healthy and has 9 leaves...ranging from 6 to 9 ins in length. The pot i have used is plastic ( as it was always in a plastic pot). I am not sure if i have used too large a pot. The pot is 6.5 deep and 6 in diameter with lot holes for drainage . I managed to get all the roots under the bark medium. Do I need to change the pot to a smaller one?
I really hope i dont have to.
your advice will be helpful
tks
Nita
AnswerHello Nita,
Congratulations on repotting the phal. It wasn't too difficult was it?
From your description of the size, the new pot looks to be okay. The one thing you have to be very mindful of is watering, do NOT water it until the bark becomes barely moist. This may be between 3 days in summer to upwards of 2 weeks in winter.
You did good!!!! Keep up the good work!
