Question -
my first experience with cymbidium is with c.eburneum from flask .after 6 months the seedling grow very slowly...under best condition.
is  c.eburenum problematic cymbidium? i have experience with other orchis -many thanks -cohen - from israel

Answer -
Hello Cohen,

I'm not sure what you mean by "under best condition".  Are the other orchis you grow cymbidiums or other types?

Here is some information about what Cymbidium eburneum prefers: warm temperatures between 55 to 85 F, kept moist but not wet, humidity above 60%, good air movement, bright indirect sunlight (70% shade in summer). Also, feed it lightly with each watering.

Does the above describe how you are growing them?

Hope this helps. If you have other questions, ask and I'll try to help with them. Good luck and good growing.

Answer
Hello Cohen,

Yes, that is something we all need to keep reminding ourselves.  Orchids are not all the same, just like you and I, we are individuals with different likes and dislikes. Also like humans, many orchids can grow under similar conditions but give them exactly what they want and need and they will prosper and reward you abundantly.

Cym. eburneum may take from 5 to 7 years to bloom from flask. Patience is the key.

Good luck and good growing.

Jim
