yellow perennial
Tom, can you ID this perennial flower? It was here when we bought this house. Vigorous. We are in zone 3-4. I can't find pictures any where online. Not lupine-like. Central stem with flowers attached quite close to stem. Bright yellow. June blooming. Thanks! Ellie

Thanx for your question. I think my sister-in-law has some of this in her front yard. I believe it to be lysimachia punctata commonly known as yellow loosestrife. Here is a link to a picture.
