QuestionI harvested many seeds from my "Moonflowers" Evening Primrose last fall and want to start the seeds indoors this year. We live in western NY and want to know when is the best time to start them. I do hydroponics and will be using grow bulbs and normal seed mix soil for starting.
AnswerHi Rick,
Thanx for your question. When you say moonflowers, are you talking about Ipomoea alba, a vine, related to morning glories with large white trumpet shaped flowers that open at night, or possibly datura stromonium that grows in a large bushy form with large white trumpets blooming at night or are you talking about evening primrose, oenothera biennis which is bloom and blooms yellow in the evening?

Let me know which one as each one has different instructions.
