Question
QUESTION: can you ID this shrub?

I've been taking care of it. When winter comes and it goes dormant I plan to move it.

Any idea what it is?

Thanx for your question.  Unfortunately, I'm not a shrub expert.  We have one here on Allexperts, but he is on vacation until September 30.  You can access him (he's the only one) by going back to Home/Gardening and click on Gardening and then click on Shrubs.  I hope this helps.

QUESTION: Hi, I just thought I'd let you know that I've ID'd the bush as a "burning bush" it turns red in the fall :) I posted the pictures on several forums.

Hi Desi,
Thanx for the info.  The bark-like growths on the twigs reminded me of something but I couldn't put my finger on it.  Now, when you say it's a burning bush, I can remember now, that was the what I was trying to remember!  Thanx for letting me know what it was.
