QuestionWhat do i do when bloom is done.
Deadhead? is the black a seed pod?
AnswerHi Teri,
Thanx for your question. When the lilies are finished blooming, you can deadhead them so they don't try to make seed pods. This saves the plant a lot of energy that it can continue to send to the bulb for next year's bloom and growth. The seed pod will be green at first and is usually like a 1"/2.5 cm long capsule that will eventually turn brown and start to split open. Seeds will be papery and flat and roundish. I hope this helps.
