QuestionI am a first timer with Lambs Ear..
I have had the beautiful plant for a little over a year now and it is taking up the front of my house and my walk way..
I am wondering is there a safe way for a beginner to separate it without damaging it? She is beautiful and I don't want to hurt her...
Any advice would be great!
AnswerHi Amanda,
Thanx for your question. You can safely dig up and separate lamb's ear at any time. I would do it in the morning or evening before it gets too warm and this well lessen shock to the plant. One thing to remember is that lamb's ear isn't a long-lived perennial and the mother plant will eventually burn herself out. When you notice barespots, relocate some of the lamb's ear that has gotten out of control to these spots. I hope this helps.
