QuestionTom,
My irises are just peaking out of the ground and we are still in boarderline spring weather here in Wisconsin. I didn't plant these- they were part of my yard when I moved into this house and their spot is horrible- they're always getting knocked over and mangled by my hose so I really want to move them so I can actually enjoy their beauty this spring. Is there any way I could successfully transplant my irises before they begin to grow too large this Spring, or should I just be patient and wait till the fall?
Thanks,
Katy
AnswerHi Kate,
Thanx for your question. If your soil is not frozen, go ahead and transplant now, otherwise, I would wait until the ground is able to be worked. You may experience fewer if any blooms because of disturing the roots but the plant will be okay. I hope this helps.
