QuestionI live in zone 8. I have a lilac (appx 7 yrs old) I wish to transplant. Is fall a good time, and can I plant in sun zone? I had powdery mildew on the leaves all summer--I don't think there was enough air circulation.
AnswerHi Leanne,
Thanx for your question. Yes, the fall is the best time to transplant and now is a good time in Zone 8. Don't wait too much longer. Make sure you transplant where the shrub gets adequate sunlight and good air cirulation. If you water, water only at ground level. The less moisture on the leaves, the better. I hope this helps.
