QuestionHi Tom,
I live in Colorado and recently moved nearby. I dug up the perennials in my garden and put them in plastic containers. Echinacia, Catnip, Yarrow, Lambs ear, Iris, and one new Aspen tree. They have lived pretty well since July. I hope to plant them in the spring if they make it through the winter. How do I help them survive?
AnswerHi Jenn,
Thanx for your question. If you have an unheated basement, garage or shed, put the potted plants there for the winter, after they go dormant and water them once a week. Otherwise, place them next to a wall or some other barrier that will prevent the cold, north wind from having too much contact with them. I hope this helps.
