QuestionI received a pink flowering azalea bush for valentines day. It has a braided trunk and I'm assuming it is an indoor plant. I left it on the window sill with the shades down for one day and now all the leaves and flowers have dried up and died. I have removed all the leaves and dead flowers and now all I have is the trunk with bare branches. I've kept watering and give it good light but I can't seem to get even a single leaf on it again. Please help me revive this plant if there is still hope.
AnswerHi Natalia,
Thanx for your question. The plant you describe is a florist-grade plant and it is not meant to survive as a house plant although some people are successful at making them live long past their intended short lifespan. They're simply too fussy and difficult. They have to be watered constantly, receive some limited sunlight and require regular feeding and the pot needs to drain well. I believe your plant is probably dead if you've been watering it and giving it light and it is not responding. Keep up the treatment for a week and if nothing happens, you should throw it out. I'm sorry.
