QuestionI WOULD LIKE TO PLANT SOME RHODIES AND AZALEAS, BUT THE ONLY PLACE I HAVE IS SUNNY MOST OF THE DAY. CAN YOU SUGGEST ANY THAT WILL TAKE SUN. I LIVE IN FLORENCE OR.
THANK YOU
AnswerHi Verna,
Thanx for your question. Sunlight should not be a problem for your azaleas and rhododendrons. There are numerous cultivars available at your local nurseries. When I lived in NW Florida, there were a lot of azaleas and rhododendrons growing beautifully in that hot, muggy climate. Your local nursery will have everything you need for your particular area. A lot of peple think that these plants are shade plants. They will tolerate shade in hotter climates but you have the perfect climate, even with sun for these shrubs. I hope this helps.
