QuestionWe seem to have a knack for growing cannas and they really multiply---I would like to put them around the fence rows but we raise registered Arabian horses and I need to know if the horses are going to eat them and what the effect on the horses will be if they do. If you can't help me could you furnish some sources where I might be able to find out, please. Thanks
AnswerHi Robert,
Thanx for your question. I did not find canna listed amongst the plants poisonous to livestock on the Cornell University list of plants poisonous to livestock. Check with your local County Extension Agent to make sure. If you give my your state and county, I can give you contact information.
Here is a link to the database for Cornell University.

I hope this helps.
