QuestionQUESTION: A couple of years back I planted Shasta Daisies (or what I thought was Shasta daisies) and since then they have taken over my flower beds and grass. How do I get rid of them?
ANSWER: Hi Shelley,
Thanx for your question. The daisies, are there any other plants planted amongst them? If not, I would just spray the area down with Roundup and start all over. If there are plants you want to keep that are growing amongst the daisies, you can spot treat daisy plants with a bowl of Roundup and a paint brush. Wear gloves so the Roundup doesn't get on your skin. "Paint" individual plants with the paint brush and Roundup. I hope this helps.

QUESTION: Is the only "au naturel" route to dig them all out? I just bought 500 ladybugs to eat the aphids - don't want them hurt in the roundup painting.
AnswerHi Shelley,
Thanx for the followup. If you just bought ladybugs, we don't want to put Roundup down. I guess you could dig up the ones you identify. Next spring, when thing start coming back up, use the Roundup if the daisies appear to be coming back. Sorry. That's the best I can do for now.
